Hello! We’re Alex and Myles.
On 15 December, we took over the running of Stoke Lodge Hotel from the Mayer family.
We moved to Stoke Fleming from London where we were both working in five-star hotels; Myles with the Dorchester Collection and Alex at The Savoy. We both loved our jobs and the lives we had built, but it was our dream to move out of the city and run our own hotel.
Having visited Stoke Lodge Hotel in the summer of 2023, we immediately fell in love with the property, the views, the incredible nature that surrounds the hotel and the area of Stoke Fleming. So, together with our parents, we made the decision to make our dream a reality. Our little family grew by one with the addition of Willow, our little cockapoo, and we moved to the stunning South Hams.
We are absolutely loving running Stoke Lodge Hotel, meeting regular guests who have visited the hotel since they were children, and welcoming in new faces too. With 25 rooms, an indoor and an outdoor pool, restaurant offering deliciously fresh dishes made with local produce, a bar with stunning sea views and an outdoor terrace, perfect for lounging, Stoke Lodge Hotel is the perfect destination to explore the South Hams.
